This drug has multifunctional actions. It has been reported as an antagonist at dopamine D2 and D3 receptors, serotonin 5-HT2 receptors, α1-adrenoceptors, histamine H1 receptor and muscarinic acetylcholine M1-4 receptors. Drug action improves psychotic symptoms in schizophrenia patients.
