Agonist Comments | ||
The HIN (ligand binding) domain of MDNA binds double-stranded DNA with a Kd of 3.15 μM [2]. |
Immunopharmacology Comments |
MNDA can be detected exclusively in nuclei of hematopoietic cells of the monocyte lineage. Expression is induced by interferon α [1]. The HIN domain of MNDA binds double-stranded DNA [2], and produces an innate resonse against pathogens. MNDA may be able to detect some viruses not recognized by AIM2. |

General Comments |
MNDA is a member of the ALR pattern recognition receptor family, a set of four related human genes classified by structural similarities as the Pyrin and HIN domain family (HGNC family 995). |
