Comment: TRAM-34 is a KCa3.1 channel blocker.
Ligand Activity Visualisation ChartsThese are box plot that provide a unique visualisation, summarising all the activity data for a ligand taken from ChEMBL and GtoPdb across multiple targets and species. Click on a plot to see the median, interquartile range, low and high data points. A value of zero indicates that no data are available. A separate chart is created for each target, and where possible the algorithm tries to merge ChEMBL and GtoPdb targets by matching them on name and UniProt accession, for each available species. However, please note that inconsistency in naming of targets may lead to data for the same target being reported across multiple charts. ✖ |

Immunopharmacology Comments |
TRAM-34 blockade of KCa3.1 has been shown to inhibit chemotaxis of inflammatory monocytes [3,16] and immature human dendritic cells [4,13], and to increase tumour cell killing by a subset of human natural killer cells [8]. Further experimental evidence indicates that inhibition of KCa3.1 by TRAM-34 ellicits immunosuppressive activity in models of allergic rhinitis [10,15], diabetic ketoacidosis-induced brain inflammation [6], neuroinflammation resulting from ischemia/reperfusion injury [2], rheumatoid arthritis [5], inflammatory bowel disease [11], and transplantation [1,7], as well as and anti-fibrotic activity in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis [12]. |
