Immunopharmacology Comments
CpdA down-modulates NF-κB-driven genes via GR, but does stimulate GRE-driven genes. The beneficial effect of low/imtermediate doses of CpdA in EAE was dependent upon expression of the GR in T cells and was mediated by down regulation of LFA-1 and CD44 on peripheral Th cells and inhibition of IL-17 production. High dose CpdA was lethal in mice.
