Clarithromycin is used to treat a wide range of mild to moderate bacterial infections of the skin, soft tissues and upper and lower respiratory system. It is also used alongside other medicines to treat stomach ulcers caused by Helicobacter pylori. Clarithromycin can be administered orally or by i.v. infusion.
