Bioactivity Comments
CCL21 is involved in immunosurveillance. It is expressed by endothelial cells of the blood-brain barrier in physiologic and pathologic conditions and may play a role in leukocyte extravasation into the central nervous system [1]. As a result of these functions CCL21 may have potential as an immunotherapeutic agent for the treatment of gliomas. The receptor for CCL21 is CCR7.
