Immunopharmacology Comments
NK cell-derived heparanase promotes NK cell infiltration to the tumour microenvironment, thereby playing a role in tumour immune-surveillance [5]. PG545 activates NK cells via an indirect activation of TLR9 that is produced by elevation of the TLR9 ligand CpG in dendritic cells [1]. PG545-induced activation of NK cells is critical for its antitumour effect.
