Synthetic organic
Comment: CM-352 is an optimized matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) inhibitor which inhibits fibrinolysis, and represents a novel type of antihaemorrhagic agent [2].
PubChem CID 72720906 represents the molecule without the stereochemistry attributed in [2]. ![]() Ligand Activity Visualisation ChartsThese are box plot that provide a unique visualisation, summarising all the activity data for a ligand taken from ChEMBL and GtoPdb across multiple targets and species. Click on a plot to see the median, interquartile range, low and high data points. A value of zero indicates that no data are available. A separate chart is created for each target, and where possible the algorithm tries to merge ChEMBL and GtoPdb targets by matching them on name and UniProt accession, for each available species. However, please note that inconsistency in naming of targets may lead to data for the same target being reported across multiple charts. ✖ |

Mechanism Of Action and Pharmacodynamic Effects ![]() |
Hyperfibrinolysis causes excessive bleeding by destabilising clot formation, and represents a dangerous medical emergency. Antifibrinolytic agents are used to abrogate this type of bleeding. CM-352 acts as an antifibrinolytic by potently inhibiting MMP-10 and MMP-3 [2], two matrix metalloproteinases involved in the regulation of thrombus dissolution and extracellular matrix proteolysis [1,3-4]. |
