Milsaperidone (VHX-896) was progressed to clinical studies to determine safety and efficacy as an oral atypical antipsychotic, for major depressive disorder, schizophrenia and bipolar I disorder. The US FDA approved milsaperidone in early 2026, to treat schizophrenia or manic or mixed episodes associated with bipolar I disorder.
