Cefovecin has in vitro bactericidal activity against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including clinically important pathogens associated with skin, urinary tract, and periodontal infections in dogs and cats [1]. The MIC90 values of cefovecin against Staphylococcus intermedius (coagulase-positive), Escherichia coli, and Pasteurella multocida are 0.25 μg/ml, 1.0 μg/ml, and 0.06 μg/ml, respectively with further MIC data reported in [1]. |
