Immunopharmacology Comments
IRAK4 is an innate immune system modulator that is involved in the response to damage-associated molecular patterns (DAMPs) released as a result of tissue damage and neuroinflammation following ischaemic stroke. Inhibiting IRAK4 signalling is therefore considered as a mechanism to reduce stroke-induced neuroinflammation and improve recovery.
