Mepacrine was used extensively by soldiers during the Second World War to prevent malaria infection. Its use was discontinued because of serious side effects including toxic psychosis. Potential Target/Mechanism Of Action: As the precise mechanism of action of mepacrine is not yet known, we do not have a molecular target for this compound. |
