Comment Lymphocyte antigen 75 (CD205) is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein that is classified as a C-type lectin receptor. The protein is differentially expressed in solid malignancies from various histotypes, and by hematological cancer cells. In addition to endocytosis actions, CD205 also appears to have functions in the immune clearance of apoptotic and necrotic cells. CD205 rapidy internalises bound antigens, so makes an ideal target for selective delivery of cytotoxic agents to tumour cells (via an ADC for example). CD205 is an active target for oncology drug development [1-3].
