Used as an anti-neoplastic agent in the treatment of leukemia, Hodgkin disease, non-Hodgkin lymphomas, rhabdomyosarcoma, neuroblastoma, Wilms' tumor. Has orphan drug designation by EMA for use to treat acute lymphoblastic leukemia (July 2008).
