Cizutamig was designed to act as a T cell engager (TCE; via interaction with CD3e on T cells), to promote depletion of BCMA-expressing B cells and plasma cells for the treatment of autoimmune diseases and B cell malignancies [2]. It is optimised to reduce cytokine release but preserving cytotoxicity against BCMA⁺ B cells.
