Comment: Ganoderic acid D is a fungus-derived triterpenoid. It has been identified in Ganoderma applanatum (bracket fungus), and is one of the compounds contained in the traditional Chinese medicine Fuzheng Yiliu decoction (FZYLD) [1]. Molecular docking studies revealed potential binding to human tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), which was validated by the compound's biological activity in vitro (anticancer effect in human HepG2 hematoma cancer cells) [1].
