Bioactivity Comments
There is some evidence that suggests neferine may behave as an orexin receptor antagonist [1]. SPR analysis provided KD (dissociation constant) values of 2.24 nm (OX1 receptor) and 10.6 nM (OX2receptor). A compound with this mechanism of action would offer potential as a treatment for insomnia.
