« Hide

Translational GTPases (trGTPases) play key roles in facilitating protein synthesis on the ribosome, acting as eukaryotic translation initiation or elongation factors. They share conserved GTP-binding domains, but reaction kinetics are considerably variable between family members (19 genes in the human genome).
We include members of this family that are potential therapeutic targets.
