Bioactivity Comments |
Methnaridine has potent asexual blood stage activity against both drug-sensitive and drug-resistant strains of P. falciparum. In addition, the compound displayed good oral activity when tested in vivo using mice infected with P. berghei (ED50 0.52 mg kg-1 per day and complete cure after four doses of 25 mg kg-1) [1]. |
