Immunopharmacology Comments
CD38 is expressed constitutively by plasma cells and natural killer (NK) cells. Its expression is upregulated on subsets of T and B cells following their activation. TAK-079 binds human and cynomolgus monkey CD38, which is in contrast to daratumumab and isatuximab which do not cross‐react with monkey CD38. It exhibits no agonist activity at CD38, and effectively depletes subsets of NK, B, and T cells in monkeys.
