By shifting the equilibrium of bone resorption/formation towards the formation side by various potential mechanisms, drug treatment makes bone stronger. ChEMBL list the molecular target of action of this drug as farnesyl pyrophosphate synthase (FDPS) which links with the drugs ability to inhibit osteoclast activity.
