GtoPdb Ligand ID: 6262

Compound class: Synthetic organic
Comment: EC18 selectively blocks HCN4 channel currents. Its power to discriminate between HCN channel isoforms makes it an ideal chemical probe to stiudy the physiological and pathological roles of HCN4 channel currents in cells and tissues [2].

Bioactivity Comments
5 μM EC18 blocks HCN4 Ih current by ~60% (at −80 mV) in transfected HEK293 cells [2]. In the same assay zatebradine also inhibited Ih by around 60%, but at a concentration of 10 μM.
