Nepafenac is indicated for the treatment of pain and inflammation associated with cataract surgery [2].

As with other NSAIDs, this drug reduces prostaglandin synthesis by inhibiting cyclooxegenase (COX) activity [6]. Note that the active metabolite is amfenac.
