Endogenous peptide in human, mouse or rat

Comment: IL-36α, IL-36β, IL-36γ, and IL-36 receptor antagonist form the IL-36 group of cytokines and are a subset of the IL-1 cytokine family. IL-36α, IL-36β, IL-36γ are agonists of the IL-36 receptor complex (IL1RL2/IL1R-rp2/IL-36 receptor) and activate NF-κB and MAP kinase pathways inducing a pro-inflammatory response. The IL-36 receptor antagonist as its name suggests antagonises signalling by the IL-36 receptor agonists to reduce their pro-inflammatory function.
