| Tylosin demonstrates activity against Gram-positive bacteria in vitro, including Staphylococcus aureus (MIC = 0.8 μg/ml) and Bacillus subtilis (MIC = 0.2 μg/ml) [2]. It also has activity against Mycoplasma, with a MIC90 for in vitro antibacterial activity against Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae field isolates of 0.25 μg/ml [3]. Tylosin inhibits bacterial protein synthesis with an IC50 of 0.31 ± 0.05 μM [1]. |
